Please help us to get funding to improve our facilities.
Surrey Canoe Club was founded in 2010. Our goal is to build a new building that exemplifies our work and our mission to promote sport by breaking down barriers to participation and promoting community engagement.
We want the new building to be designed and built with the needs of people with impairments and mobility issues foremost in mind.
Our vision is for the building to be an example of universal design – accessible to all – and green design – environmentally friendly. The building will provide storage for our boats and equipment, a wobble room for autistic youth and youth facing mental challenges and it will also provide space for free of charge activities, courses, coaching and leadership qualifications as well as a dyslexia study hub to the disabled and the youth not in education, employment or training.
We will also continue to run the free of charge Mentoring Scheme and community projects to tackle social isolation of the seniors/elderly in our community.
Our club hopes to work in partnership with other charitable and voluntary organisations to host meetings, symposiums and other events.
